தஞ்சையின் பெருமை ஆன்மிகம் , கட்டிட கலை , சிற்ப கலை , ஓவிய கலை போன்றவை . அந்த காலங்களில் பரிசு செய்ய கிடைத்த பொருள்கள் பித்தளை , தாமிரம் மற்றும் வெள்ளி இவை அணைத்து சேர்த்துதான் தஞ்சாவூர் கலை தட்டு செய்யப்படுகிறது .
6″, 7″, 8″, 10″, 12″, 14″, 16″, 19″ மற்றும் 24″ என்ற விட்டம் அளவில் தஞ்சாவூர் கலை தட்டு செய்யப்படுகிறது. முதலில் பித்தளை தகட்டில் தேவையான விட்டதில் தட்டு வடிவம் தட்டி எடுக்கப்படுகிறது .
நடுவில் சாமி , மயில் , அன்னம் போன்ற உருவங்களும் மற்றும் நாம் விரும்பும் தனிப்பட்ட உருவங்களும் பொரித்து கொள்ளலாம் . அடுத்து உள் வட்டம் பின் ஜிகினா படி பின் வெளிவட்டம் இருக்கும் . இந்த வட்டங்களில்கோவிலில் உள்ள டிசைன்கள்பொறிக்கப்படுகின்றன. முற்றிலும் கை வேலைதான் தட்டில் டிசைன்கள்பொருத்துவது வரை .
தற்போதும்மதிப்புமிக்கவர்களுக்குகொடுக்கப்படும் ஒரு பரிசு பொருளாக இது உள்ளது .

The art plates are made in diameters of 6″, 7″, 8″, 10″, 12″, 14″, 16″, 19″and 24″ .
First the brass sheet is made in plate shape. In the centre god/goddesses/peacock/swan designs are made in silver sheets and fixed. It is surrounded by an inner circle, then a jigina circle and finally the outer circle. The cultural designs mostly as seen in the temples are affixed by slot and press method.
Completely hand made.
Even now, this is a gift in memory of Tamil culture given to VVIPs.
