INTRODUCTION

Rahu is a demon and the son of Simhika, sister of BhaktPrahalada. He was born with a serpent head, and while he tried to eat the divine nectar Amirtha by transforming himself in the form of a Deva, he was noted down by Surya and Chandra, and they informed this to Lord Vishnu. Lord Vishnu removed his head through his Chakra weapon, and the head is known as Rahu, and the body without head is known as Kethu, and due to the grace of Lord Shiva, both of them have become planets.

This stotra praises the glory of Lord Rahu, and whoever recites this mantra sincerely would be blessed by Rahu, and all of the Snake related Doshams of the devotees would be removed.

The contents present in this stotra are as follows:

Oh the great Rahu, you are the powerful Demon, you are the son of Ma Simhika, and your uncle is BhaktPrahalada, and you are the giver of troubles to Sun and Moon.

Oh the great Rahu, You always look angry, and you are the humble Devotee of Lord Shiva, and you drank the divine nectar.

Oh the great Rahu, you are the one who lives in the heart of Shiva, and the one who makes the moon to lose its brightness,
and you are the one who is very bold and contains great strength.

Oh the great Rahu, you are the one, who creates fear in the minds of the planets, and you have big teeth and big eyes, and just by thinking you once, all of our troubles would vanish immediately.
