INTRODUCTION

Mahalakshmi Ashtakam is a famous stotram which is composed by Lord Indran praise of MA Mahalakshmi. This Stotra is available in the Puranas, and this poem explains the significance of Mahalakshmi.

The contents present in the Divine Stotram are as follows:

I bow before the holy mother MA Lakhsmi, who holds the divine weapons and the lotus flower in her hands, and who resides in the holy Vaikunta along with her consort Lord Vishnu.

I bow before the holy mother MA Lakshmi,who sits on the mighty Vehicle Garuda, who had defeated the powerful demon Kolasura, and let she remove all of our sins, and gives great happiness, peace of mind, and prosperous life.

I bow before the holy mother MA Lakshmi, who gives boons to us, and who removes all the miseries and sorrows in our life.

I bow before the holy mother MA Lakshmi,who gives salvation to us, and relieves us from the chain of re-births.

I bow before the holy mother MA Lakshmi, who has no beginning and no end, and who contains the powers of Ma Shakti Devi. Let her give good knowledge, courage and spiritual enlightenment in our life.

I bow before the holy mother MA Lakshmi, who is present even in a tiny particle as well as in a big object, and she is the one, who controls the entire universe through her supreme powers.

I bow before the holy mother MA Lakshmi,who is seated on the divine lotus flower in the Padmasana position, and who is worshipped by the sages, saints, kings and scholars, and by everyone in this world.

I bow before the holy mother MA Lakshmi, who wears pure clothes, and costly ornaments on her body, and who appears like the full moon, and let her remove the physical and mental diseases of all those who are in need of her help.

Whoever recite this Mahalakshmi Ashtakam regularly in the mornings, with full of devotion in their mind, would prosper in their lives.
