INTRODUCTION

Nishkalank Mahadev Temple is located in Bhavnagar, and it was built by the great Pandeva’s during the end of the Dwapara yuga. Pandavas constructed this temple, in order to remove their sins caused due to killing of their relatives in the Kurukshetra war. Similar to that, if we visit this holy shrine, our sins also would be forgiven by Lord Shiva.

The shrine is located inside the sea and for a few hours, huge waves would be there in the sea, and in that time, pilgrims cannot visit this temple, and it can be visited only once the sea has become normal. In the top of the shrine a flag is fixed. By seeing that flag, we can easily identify the holy shrine. Amavasya(No Moon) and Pournami (Full Moon) days, are considered as most auspicious days to visit and worship this Shiva temple, and during those days, large number of devotees would visit this shrine.

Many scientists and researchers are getting astonished after seeing this holy temple, which is submerged inside the sea. This temple is very good in art and architecture, and still remains as a surprise to most of the people in the world.

The temple was built by the Pandavas after getting blessings from Lord Shiva, Lord Krishna, and from the great ocean god, Lord Varuna Bhagavan.
