There are 2 types of material combination available in the market for hand pooja bell and temple bell.

1.BRONZE BELL. 

1. Copper  :  80%
2. Tin         :  20%

This gives the best resonance but costly when comparing the brass bells. Made only on special request from customers who look for good resonance and okay with price.

2.BRASS BELL

1. Copper  : 60%
2. Zinc       : 40%

This is easy to manufacture and costs less too. This has become commercially available product in the market.

Normally scraps are collected and melted to make home puja bells or temple bells. Getting bronze scraps also is difficult, since the market for all products changed from bronze to brass. Thus brass bells had become the base for home puja rooms.
