INTRODUCTION

Rohini is the star goddess specially created by Lord Brahma and took birth as the daughter of the great DAKSHA PRAJAPATI, who was the son of Lord Brahma. She was one among the 27 stars, who were also the daughters of Lord Daksha. Among these 27 stars, Rohini Star occupies an importance place in the sky. She looks brighter and shines with great energy. And she is the giver of boons to us.

All the 27 star goddess were got married with Lord Chandra. Among the 27 wives, Chandra paid more love and affection on Rohini, and due to that, his father-in-law Lord Daksha has cursed him to lose his beauty. But after making prayers to Lord Shiva, he regained his beauty.

Rohini is the mother goddess and shows kindness and gentleness on each and every living being. Though she is not popularly worshipped among the people, by worshipping her, we would get good fortunes in our life, and also our life would prosper, and we would get an opportunity to reside with her permanently in the star world. By worshipping her, we would get the grace of Lord Chandra also, and due to that our mind related problems would come to an end, since Lord Chandra is controlling our mind, and through his grace only, we would be able to live peacefully and happily in this world.
