INTRODUCTION
Sundardas was born in a Bania family in Rajasthan in 1596 A.D, and at his younger age itselfhe became a disciple of Saint Dadu Dayal and got basic education and become a saint. After the death of his guru Dadu, he followed his principles and lived a saintly life.After some time, he travelled all around Punjab and Rajasthan and spread the importance of his guru’s sect Dandupanth.
He had rendered a great work“Sundarvilasa”.In this work, he mentioned that only by following the teachings of Daduone can attain salvation. He also mentioned the things to be followed for attaining SALVATION.
IMPORTANCE
His famous teachings are as follows:
- Worship your guru and serve to him faithfully. By doing that you will attain all kinds of prosperity in your life.
- Develop the habit of reading spiritual books and listening to spiritual discourses that will give you suitable spiritual energy.
- Make every effort to attain the glory of god. By doing good things to others, and by doing meditation.
- Show Kindness, courtesy, sympathy, love and affection to others, don’t hate others. Don’t differentiate between the rich and the poor. Your mind will be very peaceful.
- Never allow bad habits to enter in your path. Always be honest and be gentle with others.
- Don’t worry about death. Anyway in course of time, it will occur, we cannot escape from that. Utilize this life properly and spend your life in a peaceful manner.
- Always keep your mind and body pure and clean.
